Welcome to the Official Website for the Washington County Life Saving Crew

The Washington County Life Saving Crew provides Emergency Medical Services in and around Washington County, Virginia. Our volunteers respond to over 3,000 emergencies each year, including medical emergencies, crash rescue, water rescue, and provide mutual aid for Advanced Life Support for neighboring agencies. Even if you or your loved ones have never needed our services, you can rest easy knowing that we are there for you 365 days a year.

A Rough Week Calls For Gifts For Our Nurses

After a long week in the ER, WCLSC Day Shift duty crew on Saturday, March 16, 2019, showed our appreciation to our nurses at JMH ER with Dunkin' Donuts and sweet tea. We appreciate all of JMH ER staff for their hard work for our community.

Vehicle Crash Stanley St & Walden Rd

EMT Trey Boothe, February 26

Today at 1405 Washington County Life Saving Crew was dispatched to a utility truck that advised they flipped over at the intersection of Stanley St & Walden Rd. Ambulance 54 and Rescue 51 responded and arrived on scene to find a single box truck on its side with the driver out of the vehicle. Fortunately, there were only minor injuries and all patients refused transport and medical treatment.

No Caption Basement Fire

EMT Trey Boothe, February 22

On February 22 at 22:45, Washington County Life Saving Crew was dispatched to assist Abingdon Fire Department with a basement fire. Unit 54 responded and provided medical support while AFD extinguished the fire. Thankfully all of the occupants were out of the building, and the fire was quickly extinguished saving the home from any major damages.

Missing Person Search

Public Relations Officer Katie Mattox, January 04

The Washington County Life Saving Crew swift water rescue team and other personnel spent time searching the river for a missing person today. This is the second time the team has been called out to assist Washington County Sheriff's Office with this search.

We are thankful for our members that are trained to help in many capacities.
