The Washington County Life Saving Crew provides Emergency Medical Services in Washington County, Virginia.  We rely heavily on financial contributions from our community. These contributions help us to respond to over 3,000 emergencies each year. Single Car MVA

Admin, January 07

In the early morning hours, the Crew was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at exit 19 of I-81. Upon arrival, a car was found in median, fortunately there were no injuries. According to witnesses, another car slid off the road, in efforts to miss a jack-knifed tractor trailer, and hit the car that landed in the median.

Structure Fire

Admin, January 05

Just after midnight, WCLSC was dispatched, along with Abingdon Fire Dept, Meadowview FIre dept, and Damascus Fire dept, to the 27000 block of Honey Locust Road for a house fire. Upon arrival, crews found the home fully involved. All the occupants were able to get out and no injuries were reported. Unfortunately the home was a total loss. Train vs. Trash Truck

Admin, December 19

At 1122 today, crews were dispatched to the Kenwarn Lane area for a train accident involving a trash truck. Upon arrival, crews found the trash truck to be crushed and on its side. The driver had been ejected. Crews worked to stabilize the patient and he was flown to a local trauma center, and is now listed in serous condition. ... (Full Story & Photos)

WCLSC Hold Annual Christmas Dinner

Last evening, WCLSC members and their families, attended the annual Christmas dinner, provided by the WCLSC Crewettes. Dinner was catered by Bonanza. The evening included the Captain Mike Mason's Year in Review, with a video by Christie Groover. Treasurer, Fred Parker presided over the installation of 2017 officers. Thank You for Helping Us, Help Them

Over the past week, the community has come together to help those that were so terribly affected by the fires in Gatlinburg. WCLSC was one of the drop off sites, that the community could bring the necessities requested. Twice, members of the Crew, with the help of Abingdon Fire Dept., delivered water, gatorade, toiletries, snacks, t-shirts and socks, and many other needs, to Sevier County Rescue Squad. ...
