The Washington County Life Saving Crew provides Emergency Medical Services in Washington County, Virginia.  We rely heavily on financial contributions from our community. These contributions help us to respond to over 3,000 emergencies each year. Even if you or your loved ones have never needed our services, you can rest easy knowing that we are there for you 365 days a year. Our continued operation is a direct result of your donations and we appreciate your consideration.

No Caption 3 Vehicle Accident East Main Street

Yesterday Washington County Life Saving Crew was dispatched at 1935 to a 3 vehicle accident on East Main Street for a silver truck that rear ended a vehicle which caused that vehicle to rear ended the vehicle in front of it. Luckily there were only minor injuries and all patients refused transport and medical treatment.

Down Power Line

EMT Trey Boothe, May 26

At approximately 1523, Abingdon Fire Department and Washington County Life Saving Crew were dispatched to the intersection of Wayne Ave and Edgemont Terrace in Abingdon, for a reported of a power line down. Upon arrival, crews found a down tree limb smoking. All bystanders were safe and didn't sustain any injuries. Agencies remained on scene till released by Appalachian Power.

No Caption Motor Vehicle Accident on Hidden Valley

AEMT Todd Miller, May 26

Washington County Life Saving Crew was dispatched at 1056 today to a motor vehicle accident on hidden valley road for a black truck that went over an embankment. One patient was transported to the hospital, and one refused medical treatment. Patient conditions are unknown at this time.

It's a good time to review the following spring safety checklist:

Smoke Alarms

Three out of every five home fire deaths result from fires in homes with no smoke alarms, according to the National Fire Protection Association. Test your smoke alarms every month and replace the battery at least once a year. If the alarm makes a "chirping" sound, replace it immediately.
