Traffic Accident I-81 Southbound

WCLSC was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on I-81 at approximately 1445 today. Upon arrival found one patient trapped in the vehicle. Extrication was performed and patient was safely removed. Patient was transported by Med Flight II to the hospital. Additional assistance was provided by Abingdon Fire Department, Abingdon Police Department, Virginia State Police

Outstanding Contribution to EMS by a High School Senior

Congratulations to Adam Lane for winning the 2018 Regional award for Outstanding Contribution to EMS by a High School Senior. The award was presented Saturday at the Southwest Virginia EMS Council picnic. With this, he will receive a scholarship and continue on to the State Awards later in the year.
